Dr Gearey is a Research and Training Officer at the Institute for Methods Innovation. She holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Warwick and contributes to work on evidence-based approaches to research impact, with a focus on participatory methods and theory of change.
Her work supports researchers and project teams to plan, deliver and evaluate engagement and impact activities in ways that are practical, proportionate and methodologically grounded. She has contributed to workshops for academic and applied research audiences, helping participants clarify pathways to impact, design appropriate engagement activities and use evidence to assess outcomes.
